Growing up in the Bay Area, my natural curiosity for the world sparked early on. As a kid I spent hours building LEGO® Bionicle sets, and later, I had the chance to immerse myself in a two-year physics and engineering program in high school. The program seamlessly blended physics and engineering with hands-on projects, where we built everything from rockets to electric cars to battle bots, fueling my passion for practical, experience-based learning

For over seven years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching school-age children in both the Bay Area and the Portland Metro Area. Watching students light up with confidence during their “aha” moments has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of hands-on, engaging learning to ignite curiosity and creativity.

It was this passion that led me to create Rose City STEM. I wanted to create a space where students could regularly experience those moments of discovery, exploring the world of STEM through projects that combine hands-on learning with meaningful challenges. At Rose City STEM, my goal is to empower students to build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning.

I also hold a B.S. in Data Science with minors in Mathematics and Economics from Portland State University. My studies highlighted the importance of science and technology across industries, and I’m passionate about inspiring the next generation of students to pursue their own paths in STEM.
